That great Dr. Fate issue, written and drawn by Walt Simonson! And that issue of Avengers I remember was shortly after George Perez took over the art chores on Avengers. Even inked by Vince Colletta -- I think -- it showed the promise of the superstar he would eventually become.

Thing is, I could almost give Cyclops a pass when he was possessed by the Phoenix Force, as I know it tends to corrupt it's host. But even after the force left him he was not apologetic and defended his actions.
