I’m not sure if anyone is still posting/cares about this stuff, but I dusted off my R skills and ran the early voting numbers for the 2025 Australian federal election. And yep, there are a lot of them – we may beat 2022 at this rate.

I don’t think AusPost will be texting from the Philippines (+63), but also the “you must have interacted with a sender before the link is clickable” thing is a smart and significant roadblock for these sorts of scams.

I quite like iOS icon tinting, particularly for how it makes you phone/apps boring, but quite a few widget still don’t work well with it, which is a bit of a pain.

Obi was less impressed with Turrell’s Within Without. Maybe the light wasn’t quite right, or maybe it was just that there was nothing to sniff or pee on.

Obi and I went and checked out Ouroboros at the NGA before it got too hot this morning. More galleries should let you take dogs to see their artworks.

I read recently about how people are getting into old digital cameras as a reaction to the over-processed iPhone look and pulled out an old camera to play around with and boy does it still take nice-looking photos.
