Horror, philosophy, MST3K, religion and more! At once! In order! Cross-pollinated!

The best we can claim to be is agnostic. We don't & can't know. Religion then becomes a method of coming to peace with that while still doing good, celebrating this messy world, & choosing love. Or as A. Powell Davies put it, grow a soul. Growing a soul in the face of uncertainty. That's religion.

I'd read 'Back Seat' earlier this year in the 'Fears' anthology, and it knocked me down hard. I almost didn't re-read in this collection, but I'm glad I did (masochist that I am). It's such a rending, monstrous and human thing. Thank you for doing what you do!

Interesting read. Practical? Not from an 'efficiency' stand point. It makes, I think, a good case for doing our best to communicate and discuss things in good faith rather than from a rigid 'our side/their side'. By just trying to be as truthful as we can, we can reshape the conversation.
