A lot of the old flashlights take the bulky 6V batteries. You know what else is about 6v? An old usb plug.
Today was nerd xmas for me. The gray redhorse suckers (Moxostoma congestum) made it 7 miles up Walnut Creek from the Colorado river during the last big rain. I wait and watch every new year for their return. I feel a sense of comfort when I finally see them swim by.
