I still carry that though with me, fondly.

It stuck with me that he would always find a way to return and visit, if briefly. But time is a wicked thing one can't control. Returning too late is always a real possibility. In his determination to reach that something, he would always have to face acquaintances which are consumed by time itself.

Back then it was part of the concept that he would be a restless traveler and occultist who's chasing anormalies, to reach something far away. Which also included traveling through time.

Our wonderful dm narrated the group getting back together after our successful mission, with Chekhov missing.
