One of my lovely furry landmine kitties (it was Athena, always Athena) was laying in the hallway last night. I tripped over her in the dark, and now I've spent the morning at urgent care. Life with cats is never dull. I had hoped it would far, far less painful though. Still love them. #kittens

On this day in 1982, my two favorite films were both released, Blade Runner and John Carpenter's The Thing.
These three have been my constant companions since my dad died. They know I'm sad and are trying to help. And they do help. Very much. Each day is full of ups and downs and it's crazy to think that my journey to the UK might be the last time I visit my childhood town where my parents lived.

It is Christmas day, however, and I've not had a vacation in years because of the cancer and the pandemic. I deserve one, so here is my view currently. The sky is a lot more blue than this photo suggests and it's balls warm here.
