Probably not wise to want to be exactly like McKinley, considering he was shot dead by an anarchist in the first year of his second term. Probably for the best, though, since the VP in 1901 was Teddy Roosevelt.

While this is generally correct in the main idea, you can't blame an 1893 recession on McKinley. Grover Cleveland was president in 1893, except for the early part of January when it was still Harrison. McKinley won the 1896 election becoming president in 1897.
