I played Children of Morta recently, and was curious what else the studio had done. When I looked on Steam, one of their other games was Garshasp. It sounded familiar, and I was trying to remember where I had heard of it. Your review was probably it. Thank you for solving that mystery for me.

The only warning I'd give about FF9 is that it's been heavily rumored to be getting a remake for a while now, and the rumors came from a large leak where a lot of the other stuff leaked ended up being true.

Though if you don't care about waiting for that potential remake, it's a great choice.

This is great news, congrats. Glad to have you back, glad that Jan can be hopefully a little less stressed out if he ever decides to take a vacation.

Oh, and I should note, wait a little bit after it releases. The prices set pre-release and directly after it usually come down (for most cards).

Yeah, if there's a specific card you want your best bet is to wait until after the set releases and buy it off the 2nd hand market. Even if it's expensive, it'll likely still be cheaper than buying a bunch of boosters and hoping you pull it.

Oh, they mentioned that in the PAX panel.

I had one of those a few months ago, and luckily I didn't have any super negative reactions to it, but it was much more intense than I expected. Wasn't prepared for the head cage or for the machine to being noisy. I had always assumed they were rather silent. Couldn't have been more wrong.

I hope I end up liking the standard style ones if they go that way. I do like the standard FF ones a lot, so I guess I shouldn't be pessimistic about that. Looking forward to seeing them later this year.

I'm curious how they'll handle the art for the avatar set. The normal thing to do would be to have the basic versions of cards in the standard MTG style and special art cards in a more cartoony style like the show, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about avatar cards in the standard style.
