Americans can move here on a TN-1 visa. You’d need a job offer and be part of a qualifying list of skilled professions or trades. Even with Trump trying to destroy our economy, timing maybe good for some professionals.

The government of Canada never threatened to cut power. This is dangerous nonsense that might make some Americans happy because the think we’re standing up to Trump, but it also emboldens the jingoists.

The worst thing about it for those of us who live here, is that they never hold conservative governments responsible for objectively poor behaviour. The one time we voted NDP, was because Prentice dared tell them to take responsibility.

I don’t know what it would be other than his investments and tax returns to expose any conflicts of interest. Should be standard practice and Poillievre should disclose the same. We’ll learn that carney is a wealthy man, shocker. And I shudder to think what we’ll learn about Poillievre.

Why does it need to be nuanced? Are you expecting a multi-pronged defense of why a sovereign nation who is happy doing its own thing doesn’t want to be part of the US, let alone as a single state? Take no for an answer already. We’re not singing for our supper for you.

This single state bullshit is grating. Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. The United States can fit inside of Canada. And 85% of us do not want it - take no for an answer.

I don’t know what they precisely mean by “ethics disclosure”. But Carney should totally do it, and in a way he knows Poillievre cannot. And then demand that he does.
