Honestly I never cared much for my hair until my egg cracked.
I started using actual hair care products not also rated for machinery and taking biotin and within 2 weeks my friends noticed the change and asked if something changed.

Same, I tell folks that I was "physically socially conditioned" into being a "man" and it stuck for so long when my egg finally cracked. Almost all the work in my transition isn't trying to be more feminine, its unlearning all the conditioned masculine traits...
