I think the game is more interesting when the comps can be won by anyone. It forces more power shifts and people to focus more on social strategy. What would we be willing to do to win, and what behavior will people tolerate/reward within the confines of the game.

He seems to have an inexhaustible drive to win so I'm going with new tactic. It would've had a better chance if he'd switched to it much earlier.
