Jack Conte with Patreon for Creators 1h ago I've spent a lot of time lately talking about how social media is broken and how the world needs an alternative. This video gets into the actual solutions and features we've been building and trying (with over 200 creators in the beta now!) to give creators a way grow their audiences right on Patreon. The TLDR: we're launching a few new features: 1) a new type of post called a Quip. Quips go out to the entire Patreon community -- not just your members -- so you can get discovered and grow your community on Patreon. 2) A discovery feed where Quips go when you publish them. This feed will be separate from the "Memberships" feed, so unlike social media, this discovery experience won't be forced on everyone.

who are these mysterious people submitting so many report tickets??? where do they find the time or interest?? i basically never think to report anything, mainly cause i have actually important things to do with my life
During the November 2025 US election, we received 250, 000 tickets in a single day. Last week, moderators reviewed 38,000 tickets in a day that *weren't* violations of our Community Guidelines. Every time someone reports a major newspaper as a "fascist org" (real example), or President Obama as misleading, a moderator has to assess that report against our guidelines and close the ticket. The more low-quality reports we receive, the longer everything takes.
