AND ANOTHER THING (because I'm petty) a sweep of their profile shows they are totally fine with reposting the sexual glorification of "My Little Pony", AN ACTUAL CHILDREN'S SHOW, MADE FOR CHILDREN, yet anime clearly made for a different, older demographic is wrong. Yeah, okay. 👍

Another perspective as to why depiction matters; say you're in front of a judge who is reviewing a lewd drawing of Misty from Pokémon (typically 10 years old in game) drawn *as an adult*. Is it likely that judge will say, "this is a 10 year old child!"? Probably not.

Because at the end of the day, who gets to "choose" when a character is 18+ and its now OK? It should be based on the depiction of said fictional character rather than a fictionally set age, because in a literate sense, that can never change.

In my opinion, the difference when it comes to fictional characters and art is how you depict said character. Depicting them as a child, in a child's body/form is an obvious big no. Depicting said character as an adult, with an adult figure/body is fine.

You can't age a fictional character in the literal sense when trying to place it in the same category as consent. You literally cannot ask a fictional character for consent much like you can't literally age them.

I'll never understand the stance of jumping to accusing a real person of being something that has real consequences for drawing a fictional character, with an obvious adult figure, because said fictional character isn't listed as 18+. 🧵

It's so rough and disheartening for all artists alike. I'm newer to posting my art online and I attempted X, but especially for newer artists, it's basically throwing your efforts into a meat grinder.
