UK politics, Brummie, and fucking SLAYER.
When I was a younger person, most traditional pubs, in the Midlands, were leather bench seats with tables and stools. You stood at the bar, never a high stool. The Black Country Ales Brewery pubs are doing a roaring trade converting old pubs round here by hitting that old vernacular.

As a Brom fan, who watched the NLD today, I'd heard the chorus a few times, and checked where it came from. The original, yeah not great, but a stadium singing the chorus does push the buttons. It's good. In fact, it's too short, sing it twice.

Not a patch on TLMS, but you lot singing it works.

Nah. Soz. Anyway, good evening to you chap.

Well in Walsall.

Arbo is fantastic, gallery brill, pubs insane (The Fountain!) and 20 mins into Brum. Baffles me that there's no real Brum apartment overspill in Walsall and some form of relative gentrification. It'll get there hopefully.

Smell my fingers.

I always appreciate your posts, even though politically I disagree with most of them, but this is 100%.

We can agree to disagree. We can argue, implore, and try our hardest to press our points. If that doesn't work, go for a pint and argue more!

RIP Charlie Kirk.

Totally put this is my Chrimbo wishlist for her who must be obeyed. Looks fabulous! Any Gunpei and VR related stuff?

I had to work in the office today, so up at 5:45am and it wasn't light. Felt like the first time since forever.

And then, when leaving for the train, I could see traces of my breath.

Winter is coming.

Mind, usually in my commute, the second week of Sept, you start to see the mist in the park.

The ok is important. As are CC's lyrics.

Search Wiking1940 or Ubermensch on Spotify. Shamefully, as a metal fan, it's freely available national socialist metal. Without any age verification.

I'm usually a liberal, but as a parent and an old fart, I'm starting to wonder.

But then this was true when I was a teenager. Music can be hugely transgressive. Someone got done for wearing a Cradle Of Filth t-shirt. These things aren't new. We still block kids from seeing 18 films right now, but no sense of outrage that kids can't watch Ichi The Killer at the cinema.

Ah, Usenet/Newsgroups. Can still recall arguing with someone about The Simpsons on some alt. group over 30 fucking years ago. Outlook Express ftw for reading groups.

And I still use it. Admittedly for pirating stuff from the binaries groups, but still.

Fucking Slayer.

I get this, especially if your car has manual wiper operation. When you get a fancy dan car that senses the rain and does the wipers itself, you suddenly couldn't give a fuck.

It's so good. Epic doesn't begin to explain it. From the finger of god, to Stu's skidders needing a wash, to a dollar bill crawling with death. M-O-O-N. Nick and that meeting.

God, it's so brilliant.

90s TV version was pretty good! Although Anthrax and Among The Living is the bollocks.
June 6, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Pfffft. Usenet ftw.

That's absolutely fucking stupid. I love 80s/90s Japanese game soundtracks, but even on import, they were £20/£30 mainly. £323 is MP-fuckyou-three.

As someone else who is caggy handed when it comes to dinner, well in for putting the cutlery in the right position.
April 27, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Happy birthday chap. Went to your first house and your Missus' gaff early this year. Had a few beers round the town too. Lovely stuff.

Tourists enjoyed it too. Great fun seeing them ordering in a pub, seeing how the English cross a road!

Will (ahem) raise one to later fella.

The grey suits. The '22.

They'd never understand.

I get all the good chap stuff, but, when push came to shove, BJ and Truss were ejected. Without a written constitution.

The nuances and cultural expectations would be inexplicable I guess?

Huzzah though!
April 4, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Yep. Decent scart cable and you were sorted. If he was buying import, they'd surely know this?

God, now I'm reminiscing about PC Engine's, Super Famicoms and why the Neo Geo was laughingly stupid but wanted one anyway.

How fucking dare he. How fucking dare he.

We tool the fuck up. And quick.
March 6, 2025 at 10:37 PM
That would make the orange fuckwit the Crimson King?

Oh. Fucking hell.
February 28, 2025 at 8:01 PM
From memory, watching the trailer on rented VHS horrors, this looked the absolute bollocks. Unfortunately it turned out to just be bollocks. It's no Delta Force.
February 6, 2025 at 7:44 PM
Ha! Was going to suggest, get a Synology NAS with a few 20Tb drives, decent NZB provider, decent Usenet provider, SABNzbd, good Kodi box (Vero V for me) and welcome to the promised land.
January 24, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Wait till he starts some Reign In Blood era Slayer.

Tbf, I'm very jealous. As a metal fan for four decades and three (now grown) lads, none of them partake. At least they all support the Albion. My parenting wasn't a 100% fail at least.
January 15, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Pre Black album, absolutely not. Post Justice? Abso-fucking-lutely. I'm a thrash/metal purist though, which I realise is totally on me, but fucking Load? Gah!
