I also have my full story statements from the submission but I just wanted to add some comments looking back at these pieces :33! Looking at them now has been saving my overly-comparative brain as I tend to put myself down a lot,, but these pieces and more do make me proud of myself <3

This was drawn with a reference of me and my girlfriend!! I believe that this is the happiest piece I have so far and I think that really shows through the coloring and rendering :33!

There isnt much to say with this piece except that I actually started to like myself at this point <33

This was likely the easiest piece to make as the sketch was an image I saw in my head, however, its the piece that really turned the portfolio around for me as it was the first piece I had without any faces.

Dont ever let the voices win, you are stronger, you're the one thats in control of this life, so take its hand and jump because youll never know where youll land.

This piece took me forever to get right as I kinda lost steam at this point but it came to me while I was talking to myself, self love really can change a lot..

I had so much fun with this fish eye lense experiment! I was also leaning into the more messy look as it sped up my working time but also let me have fun with rendering :)!

The second piece was a doozy for me to make as I havent done much background heavy art before but I wanted to explore more into different perspectives! This portfolio was also amidst my personal healing process <3

At the beginning I began sketching in pen as I didnt have a clear idea of the medium I wanted but I ended up scanning the poster pencil sketch and finished the rendering digitally. I do have a story to tell but I think its more fun to see how everyone else interprets it :33
