I spent 20 months in Ethiopia. The pandemic included and I remember the war breaking out. Some friends who could not even call their families for months. The State came to Jinka to recruit young and desperate boys and girls offering them money. Many never came back or did severely injured.

AI should not be used in recruitment. Passing a CV screen means nothing when opaque systems replace human judgment with unaccountable assumptions.

In my case, I was left with the impression that everyday choices and salary expectations were interpreted through vague, pseudoscientific lenses, based on the analysis of my voice messages. These inferences felt treated as facts.
