Which will conclude on my birthday funnily enough. It's like DWJ wanted to give me a birthday present.

But despite its flaws, it is still a good superman and good movie overall and I won't mind seeing this version of the character again.

I also like the movie to embrace the silly concepts without going, "Hey, this is stupid" Really do like it.

Hoult lex is the best the character has been in adaptations on smallville, though I still feel like he is missing one thing to make him an all-timer. It's a personal connection to Superman.

Performances are good with David and Hoult being a real highlight. Lois was good but her relationship with Clark felt really underdevelopment and felt like we missed a whole movie of development.

Superman '78 or what like to call it Superman III is the perfect Superman story that fully deserves that iconic shot of Christopher Reeve smiling to the camera.

This is also how you change the Mythos while still respecting the entire character.

But everything else is handled so well. Gene hackman lex is at his best in this, and lois is an active character in this just so good.

He is also shows what this version of kal could became and this moment isn't just a hype moment but a cementing of clark growth from superman 1 and 2.

That character is Brainiac, easily the best superman movie villain and one of the best cbm villains ever. He sympathetic but the story makes its clear why he is wrong and despite his noble intentions and a little shit who lies.

There so much I love about this book like it continues reeves superman story that actually follows though on the stuff established in superman 2 and gives him a nice arc of learning to let people in and a good arc is usually shown with a foil of someone who doesn't learn it.

Superman '78 isn't just my favorite superman comic ever. Superman '78 is one of my favorite things ever and despite it being a comic it is still the best superman movie and actually deserving of the title of Superman III.
