I heard it described as retro-futuristic, but I think a better word is (vacuum) Tubepunk. I had a hard time pinning down exactly when it was supposed to take place, but the whole vibe was very much Loki-like.

I felt like the whole cast had immediate chemistry, too. It really did have the feeling of a family. And Julia Garner was fantastic - her performance gave off just the right amount of inevitability and despair. Aside from the performances, I really dug the mise-en-scène of the entire film... (cont)
