It took a really, really long time for me to genuinely accept and understand this. EA was finally the company that got it through my skull. Tough lesson to learn, but I'm glad you (and hopefully others reading your post) understand. Fingers crossed for you and your colleagues on an awesome next gig.

SO glad for you!!! My wife and I have been back in Texas for about a year after spending 4 years in Europe (Germany and Portugal). If it weren't for Stack Overflow having a health insurance program like most of the EU, we'd be BROKE from how many Dr. visits and surgeries since we got back. .

100%! This wasn't from a special edition, or a pre-sale bonus, etc. Just came in the box ❤️

Right?! I loved a lot of the lore folks would toss in the guide. Or the fact that I could look at instructions months later to remember how to play, haha.

I miss those days. I absolutely loved the little notepads a lot of companies would include (Blizzard and Sony had some great ones). And cloth maps. Loved those too.

Nice! I used to play a ton of that in the Denver pods at Dave & Busters. A flat fee day would have been epic :)

Nice! I'm finally back in the States full-time so give a holler if you need a slot filled sometime :) (Same phone number as back in the day)

I was obsessed with Zork back in the '80s. "You will be eaten by a grue" is still one of my favorite lines from any game.

Thanks. Y'all are sweet. They came out ok. If I had realized how long the prep was actually going to take, I would have waited for the weekend instead. :)

Hahahaha. I hadn't, but just did. That's awesome. "Get that weak ass bird shit out of here!"

And soooo accurate. I'm grateful for him being a pioneer of fantasy literature, but omfg I hate his writing style. I don't want to read 3 pages describing the blades of grass on a field. :P

I hear ya. I've been doing it in pieces as each Act is PACKED. Just finished Act 2 on Tuesday. Will probably wait at least 2 or 3 weeks before really diving into Act 3.

Ha! No worries. I just saw this myself (you can see how much I'm on socials, LOL). Accepted. Thanks for the invite! :)
