My riding year ended on a bit of a whimper (got sick after Thanksgiving and then away for part of the holidays) so I was pleasantly surprised to see I’d ridden that much more than last year. I hope 2025 is even better for riding. Happy new year everyone! 🥳

Decided to take my commuting bike back up with me to Chicago; spent the extra $10 on Amtrak to be able to bring it. At the station, I got a luggage tag, and was told the conductor would tell me where it would go. After I got on the train, this was the “storage solution”:

Dunno if there are other cyclists on here, but… 6 weeks post knee meniscus surgery I got out for my regular weekend ride. So nice to be outside, seeing deer and birds and the nearby lake.
