This is not funny. This is disturbing. No standing present should be proud to evoke images of war against a domestic city (or any city for that matter). The militarization of our cities is dangerous & must be stopped. Bless the organizers who are creating mutual safety in the face of state violence.

This Dalit History Month, I honor my mother who passed on March 31. She was the love of my life—a pillar in the caste equity movement, healing many with her cooking, laughter, and boundless love. She will be cremated tomorrow. Our family's ask: please pray for her soul’s peaceful passage. Jai Bhim.
