Trans commie. I see a number of new followers, be aware that I hate the US and will instantly block anyone I see with a US flag in their profile. I have no chill left anymore.
It's some manner of attachment or add-on, but I don't actually know how to activate it. It's community-created, like blocklists, I don't know by who specifically

There really isn't any need to try that, or any possibility that it will work. To win elections, an opposition party needs to appeal to some portion of the ~80 million non-voters, not try to suck up to white supremacists who actively love fascism.

Coal can be made into jewelry; it's called jet in that context

Parasocial relationships to politicians are always a bad idea

That's what the speech about lies is about, later: when he's Death, he doesn't get any choices. When Mort tries to be fair about it, he breaks reality. He's an embodiment of the uncaring universe, and it hurts him to still care.
As the Hogfather, he *can* act. He *can* make things better.

A stile, not a turnstile. A small stair that allows humans to get over a fence but prevents livestock from doing so

Republicans haven't been silent. They've been cheering. Hope that helps you contextualize what's happening.

You can consider the US Constitution a legitimate governing document, or you can support the ideal that everyone is equal under the law. You can't do both at once.
November 29, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Again, people in the US reliably mean the US Constitution when they say "rule of law". Any usage of the phrase that treats the US Constitution as legitimate is inherently false, because the US Constitution is fundamentally opposed to the idea that everyone is equal before the law.

"Trumpism" is a thing they made up so they could pretend it's not the same nationalist garbage as ever
November 29, 2025 at 5:27 AM
The problem with "rule of law" as it's used in the US is that the law people always refer back to is the Constitution, and the unshakable insistence that a document written by white supremacist slavers will produce perfect justice.

Are you suggesting that people under military occupation are obligated to wait for an external force to impose law?
November 26, 2025 at 9:56 PM
You're ignoring the years of war prior to the trials, where rather a lot of them were shot/blown up by the Resistance and/or Allied troops, and everyone who wasnt a Nazi agreed that was not just reasonable but good.

That's what the Wehmacht said too. "Just following orders" has never been an excuse.

They do understand, and are doing this deliberately.

When was the last time a Republican has articulated any coherent policy whatsoever?

Because both parties are united in their certainty that the US has an absolute right to murder anyone in the Global South at any time. He isn't issuing orders that are illegal by the standards of normal US policy.
