Why was I in New Zealand? For the first ever Unitarian Christian Alliance conference in Oceania. We all had a great time - an enthusiastic and encouraging group of mostly Kiwis, with some Aussies and half a dozen Yanks including me. Will post some of the excellent content here over the coming weeks.

Why was I in New Zealand? For the first ever Unitarian Christian Alliance conference in Oceania. We all had a great time - an enthusiastic and encouraging group of mostly Kiwis, with some Aussies and half a dozen Yanks including me. Will post some of the excellent content here over the coming weeks.
Visited the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand the other week. It was cool, but when I asked the tour guide where they keep the shrink ray to make the Hobbits, he looked at me like I was some kind of idiot. I guess maybe he was having a bad day or something . . . Anyway I never could find it.

Visited the Hobbiton movie set in New Zealand. Those little Hobbits are good gardeners, evidently. But didn't meet any. Must have been away at a Hobbit convention or something . . .

Didn't even get to the wilder south island, but the scenery in New Zealand did NOT disappoint.

Got to visit New Zealand in November and had the privilege of visiting this beautiful family-run dairy farm on the north Island.
