We all know how this will play out. Musk will gain some followers for this party, build up some so-so passive angst at Trump, then place Trump as his candidate for the 2028 presidency since "he's in a new party and a third term won't count somehow."

This always cracks me up, as even as a kid I imagined this movie was 90 minutes of Nimoy’s character being asked things only to exclaim “I’m baffled!” every time.

When McCain died, so did the ability of the Republicans to act outside of Trump and his cronies. And even there, he caved often enough.

I keep seeing it like THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, where Musk is the Warden, Trump is the abusive Captain, and America is now having to "crawl through five hundred yards of sh*t" to eventually get to freedom.
