Kudos to @vivziepop.bsky.social and Sam Haft for creating the Hazbin Hotel series and music. But did you intend to call in Mary Magdalene and Judas with this line? It stopped me cold. About as cold as hearing call back to “When I See Him” in that same phrasing. Love it!

Some colourful trees today on campus! The reds are firey, the green is a fantastic contrast. Even the orange seems brighter than usual.

Crocheted project update: I’ve managed to get 2.5” out of the yarn I’m currently working with (Caron Cake classic edition: Mint Chocolate Chip), with 3 full colour rotations (not shown here, this is only 2 full colours). It’s not much but it is a start. My cat is not impressed with the coverage.

Today I found a coral. It’s fitting that I found it today of all days because of the news of the coral tipping point. But I’m reminded about the tenacity of coral from this fossil. I have to express how much I love some coral’s not so secret Medusa stage: the Jellyfish.

I finished it! It took 7 years to make this thing, but it is finished. I am still a bit miffed that the outer grey is lighter than the inner grey, but it is green and grey like my friend wanted!

My couch sheets came yesterday. Okay, so I bought a bed in a bag so I could get the extra pillow case and pillow sham, but these are couch sheets and the comforter and pillow cases are for the actual bed. And look how cute the comforter is!

Last night before I fell asleep the full weight of religious trauma hit me and I cried. Ms Cat had to check on me. She slept near my head to make sure I was okay.

Finished the tooth. Added a pearlescent top coat over some dry brushed white and a lot of brown grey to develop the tooth root. I used the dry brushing technique to get more depth to the colours.

My partner gave me a megalodon tooth print, and now I’m working on making it look reasonably accurate. Base layer down: acrylic paint. Thick groove lines will be worked on during the next layer, along with the return to a more white/blue colour to the main tooth body. Blue interference to come.

yeah, I hear that and feel that so much. I was able to take this photo (that was my background for years) back in Margate, UK. It was a wonderful shot just as the sun was setting, and made my whole trip. :)

This was yesterday and today’s work, a bunny based on my little boy who I miss so much. He was the best bunny. I will of course put a pile of Tostitos beside this rabbit as that was my bunny’s favourite snack (don’t give your rabbit Tostitos, I was younger and he was persistent).

Back when I was making longer walks, I stumbled across this very quiet scene. I simply watched the deer, took a couple of pictures and went on my way. This was taken down at the U of M by the Truth and Reconciliation office. I often sit and think about this image, and I’m glad I could see it again.

Tomorrow will be the first time I see my extended family since prior to Covid. My anxiety is up, but nothing about this should cause anxiety. I am just happy I am going to the theatre (masked of course, I like to go in style). Also, my cat thinks the shirt I’m planning to wear is cool! (hellaverse)

I have found my perfect sheet set for post recovery. You’re never going to believe it folks, but it is PAC-Man. Yes, it comes in Queen size. Yes it is cotton. Yes it has a hefty price tag, but… Eeee! And it glows in the dark… I’ve wanted whimsical sheets for years! And Partner likes them too!!

As for art, check out this little bunny baby I’m working on. I’m basing this one on one of my angels. I have to finish of the under colour and then add the over coat ticks of fur. Once that is complete, I’ll collapse the three layers into one and move her up to where she’s supposed to go in frame.
