If I were an up and coming law student, there is no way I’d consider working for Kirkland & Ellis, Skadden, Paul Weiss or any of the cowardly firms that caved to Trump.

I know this is well regarded ( it heavily influenced Gabriel Garcia Marquez, whom I love) but apart from some beautiful lines, it left me fairly cold. Interestingly, it made me think a little less of One Hundred Years of Solitude, because it’s such an obvious recasting of this book…

An excellent, very readable and thoughtful examination of Captain Cook. I highly recommend it.
