Just finished Parable of the Sower. Reading it as a new parent was as close to being in a real life Saw trap as I’m probably ever going to get. 8/10 would recommend.

Before I start up the next #WoT book I’m taking a short foray into some absolute hot garbage. Military zombie apocalypse fiction. It’s so bad it’s good. It’s the Taco Bell of literature. #Arisen Fortress Britain makes me realize how Steven Segal got famous. It’s just so entertaining. But so bad.

I have finished #TheShadowRising. Honestly, a really great jumping back in point to the series. I was worried I wouldn’t remember the characters well enough to grok the story but you get halfway through any POV chapter and it’s like “oh yeah I get this person”. Absolutely loved it.

You know I’ve always thought that my bad luck was a curse. It definitely is but at least professionally it’s turned into a blessing. Everyone comes to me whenever they want to learn something because “Dylan probably encountered every possible problem”. 😂

I just finished season 1 of #Paradise on Hulu. Boy howdy I haven’t been that engrossed in a tv show in a HOT minute. I cannot wait for season 2. That show truly executed a book experience on screen. Maybe a bit of a cliche thriller book experience but a book experience nonetheless. Would recommend.

Sad NICU realization. My dog was all over my partner while she was pregnant. Then one day we came home with the baby and she wasn’t pregnant anymore. I wish I could talk to her and let her know we didn’t lose the baby and that she’ll be coming home soon

I’ve had a lot less time for gaming lately. Baby in NICU is much more conducive to reading. But when I am home and game I’ve been absolutely loving #ClairObscur. Just finished Act 1 (OOF). Definitely an all-timer. When baby comes home I plan to make more headway from my ROG Ally.

I’m currently about halfway through #TheShadowRising after a pretty big break from #WheelofTime. I’m really loving it so far, Perrin is becoming one of my all time favorite fictional characters. Not a big fan of how the women are written at this point tho.

I expected this team to be an absolute mess but I’m cautiously optimistic! With the amount of consistent players that can come in at the half, we might actually have a team that doesn’t completely run out of gas in the final 20! #sportingkc

Dungeons of Hinterberg might be one of the best games I’ve ever played. My partner and I have been playing it independently and having routine dungeon review conversations and it’s just amazing.
