Merry Christmas!

A day late since yesterday was absolute madness in the best way. Everyone was very pleased with their presents, I made myself ill from eating too much, it was a success.

I was watching Nativity last night, old british comedy film that had a scene involved schoolboys dressed in womens clothes in a play and I found myself saying "wouldn't get away with that these days" and got scared I had turned into yer da for a second but I think I am ok?

Made a start on my first zine, something I want to do a lot more of next year, if anyone familiar with printing photos / making zines / print design etc wanted to give it a look over and give tips would be highly appreciated.

Would not mind another morning like this if possible? Wandering around Glasgow in the fog.

Didn't expect that to come out looking such like a painting to be honest

Random wanders while christmas shopping. I found the "24 hour access" funny and am drawn to photograph that bus stop every time I see it and I can't figure out quite why.

The top story on reddit and hacker news is about how Firefox is going to kill ad blockers that quote a discussion from the CEO discussing how .... we will not block ad blockers.

Not gonna lie, it feels quite MAGA esque.

Its a great photo, it may well be real but its definetely a composite. 90% (made up percentage) of the work in astrophotography is how to manage the many many frames that are taken to make a still image.

Taking a photo of M31 typically takes […]

If you didnt have short cold winter days you wouldn't get moody foggy photogenic mornings

Havent been able to go out and take many landscapes recently but I liked this moody canal scene.

Martha May & The Mondays @ Classic Grand, Glasgow

"it’s hard to recognise this outlandish punk band from their folky beginnings but it’s clear to see why they are on the receiving end of awards."

Forgot about this, couldn't resist copying Martin Parr while I was there.

The pool was very nice and kiddos absolutely loved it.

What are the suggestions for cheap last resort cloud backup (low terrabytes)? Now I have my NAS setup I just want it to sync periodically and not spend loads on a backup I hope to never use.

I ran a (free) photo booth tonight for my kids school disco and about half the kids asked how much they had to pay. It was a little sad to hear every time.

Editor for The Times involved in the ongoing campaign against trans people was arrested for 'indecent communications' - https://archive.ph/shTji#selection-1289.40-1289.65

Going to start posting the ideas I think people could genuinely make money from so I dont waste time making half baked implementations of them.

The first one, iOT project that lets you check / control your hob and oven from your phone.

I have successfully gone 40 years without setting my house […]

Enabled the new Trustpanel by default on Firefox Nightly yesterday. Its a redesign to make things easier / more accessible with less icons cluttering up the urlbar. Happy to hear any feedback

Pretty confused as I have seen a few people posting this as a memorial to Martin Parr, including by photographers to claim to have worked with him.

And am I mad or is this not pretty obviously AI and looks nothing like Martin Parrs style anyway?

Probably not the […]
