I knew that NASA was going to censor the passing of 3IAtlas near Mars.
I had zero hopes in them being honest and sharing the sights of an interstellar object with humanity.
So I’m just hoping that someone else somewhere has nice footage to share with astronomy enthusiasts from around the world.

It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there.
I have that part, I mean… ArgenFinn, I have it on both sides.
The issue is that I’m a hermit by nature.

The topic of OBEs has always been interesting to me. But I don’t like to paint it as “sunshine and rainbows” like I’ve read in some fiction, and don’t even get me started on those new age forums... I’d like to explore other angles, and that’s why I’m working on this scifi trilogy.

Today was the first time I had a dream where I saw my sci-fi novel at a bookstore.
What bookstore? I don’t know. It was a dream.
Maybe it’s because of my visits to bookstores on Tuesday. Some dreams are like the processing of earlier experiences.

Last night I fell asleep while still working on my novel.
I’m aware that what I write is not for “the market,” so I work harder on making the writing itself better.

It’s Disability Pride Month in the states, which means, I finally “count” as a person worth reading.

So… Beautyland.
I’m currently reading.

Tonight I tried to come up with a story idea that could become my quick sellout book that maybe pays the bills, but… I am not culturally equipped to write that sellout book, yet. My ideas are too alien at this point in my life. But I’ll keep on trying.

For people who have read The Weaving Spider & Moth, who is your favorite character?
Why?

I’ve never asked that question and I feel silly for not asking sooner.

Very thankful for the person who gave my book a chance this month. It means everything. Thank you. 💚💚💚

Now some people know a bit more of my writing process in real time. 🤣
It’s very messy. There’s a lot of research involved. I think I finished something and then, nope, go back, add this and that.

Authors, from all the characters you’ve written, who is the character that pushes you out of your comfort zone the most and why? 💬📚💙

Book 2 has been the “I finished a chapter! … No, not quite, not yet” kinda book.
I care deeply about stuff that many wouldn’t even notice, or I feel like many won’t notice.
Perfectionism.

Remember when NaNoWriMo defended generative AI instead of supporting writers?
Well, they shut down recently.
So, Duolingo, you might be next.

I’m a fan of books I can’t predict, where there’s a lot going on, and romance doesn’t take over the whole plot.
I realize that I’m in the minority of readers in the Anglo market, but hey, we exist.

I love when other writer friends make playlists as soundtracks for their books. 💜 I’m not alone.

Books are like dreams. Let them surprise you instead of expecting the same thing you’ve already met from previous books.

For all of my fellow folks in the #WritingCommunity in the trenches writing essays for lit mags, here's a really poignant piece on rejection, persistence...and petty dishonesty from Seth Kaplan. (Thanks to Margo Steines for recommending it!)

DREAMS: ON DISCOVERY, LOVE, FAILURE, A HEIST AND A RECOVERY IN THE LITERARY WORLD by Seth Kaplan
I. I started hoarding cash. I needed about fifty dollars that could not be traced back to me, so I stashed bits here and there: $3 change from the ice cream shop, $4 paying for a round of drinks...

The Weaving Spider & Moth is a sad sci-fi with parapsychology.
You’re not safe here.
You won’t be comforted here.
OBEs aren’t an easy escape here.

Tonight was just adding a sensory detail to a scene that was already well revised. I know… it doesn’t seem like big progress, but I prefer to have achieved this than nothing at all.

For fanfiction writers, it can feel like generative AI is closing in on all sides. #AO3 has been scraped multiple(!) times, readers are using AI to finish authors’ fics …

But isn’t *writing* the whole point? The incomparable @elizabethminkel.bsky.social shares her take:
