I also think about Tipper Gore and the PMRC. If she hadn’t gotten her panties in a twist about obscenity, most of those bands would have never been famous. It was sooooo stupid.
Trying to ban a class of people takes it much further, but that whole mindset baffles me.

Adults want to explain too much when kids are asking yes/no questions. She didn’t care about the why or anything else. (The Madonna impersonator was amazing.)

Real life example: went to art museum to see the Jean Paul Gautier exhibit with a friend and my 6-yr-old. There were drag queens performing. Child says, “are those men?” My husband sort of stiffens because he doesn’t want to explain. I just said, “some probably are.” End of discussion.

I read somewhere that green paint might have contributed to Napoleon’s death. I did not do any research to confirm- I stopped at “huh, interesting.”

I’m a librarian and that would kill me. I shelve loosely by topic, read or tbr, and mostly by wherever I happened to shove it while cleaning the house. I loathed classification in grad school but somehow I can always find what I want.

I’m sick so I stayed home from Thanksgiving festivities, but I still managed to run two loads of dishes from all the cooking this morning and then everything else.

Not terribly dramatic but I have some sort of plague. My husband is being a saint and taking my mother and our adult daughter to my brother’s house an hour away (Mom can’t drive that far). So it’s me and the dog lounging on the couch.

That’s the best! Although I have to admit I am not a huge pie person. Unless it’s chocolate cream pie with a ton of meringue on top!

The issue is that they are sunsetting the device and he uses apps that require a current OS.

You used to be able to get a two year plan that made a new iphone $250. Now it’s $650 for the cheapest model and you can’t get a deal. My husband is mad because he wants to replace his SE and he will have to buy an 16. It’s ridiculous.
