Last year definitely felt worse to this point. There were virtually no breaks from the 90s in late June and July.

It's a record head start; we're ~10 days ahead of the fastest-starter, 2016. The silver lining is it's very early: the low-extent years of 2007, 2012, & 2019 didn't have big starts, and 2016 could catch up. But we're also entering with near-record low volume, so extent can drop more easily later on.
