It is important to note that John is someone that advocates use black frame insertion to reduce motion blur on OLED tv’s so I’m not surprised about his take on the response rate.

People are used to tech constantly improving. They don’t like to see any downgrades. This is especially the case when it has been years since the previous iteration.

I feel the biggest issue here is the OLED Switch. The response time is another way the Switch 2 screen is not improved over the OLED Switch so people are complaining. I don’t think there would be this much fuss if the OLED model did not exist.

They have established some dominance on the next-gen console side. Is that due to the cross-gen strategy or Microsoft’s faltering?

Either way, I am very interested in how either strategy will play out for Nintendo.

I was thinking the same thing until I realized that the strategy has not been good for Sony. I also saw something about Nintendo talking up the importance of software to sell systems.

It feels like it was done mainly to stop the chatter about the hardware based on the leaks.
