I went to an estate sale today. They wanted $6 for a used roasting pan. Not a full set, no lid and no meat riser. Just the pan. I left it there, I had only planned to put seedlings in it anyway. Am I cheap or is that outrageous?? For reference I wouldn't have paid more than $1.50

Apple time! These are from Fall 2024, we have a local u pick orchard that I adore. Apples last a long time in the fridge, but out of 2 bushels,this is what was left (almost 6 months later).

Unprompted my elementary aged child came home from school chatting with me about MLK Jr., Rosa Parks and Bessie Coleman (who I'm ashamed to say I didn't know about, but he had lots to tell me). This is the education I want him to have, not the "whites only" version the orange shit box is selling.

This flu/respiratory infection isn't letting up. Digging out from our most recent snow (5+ inches) was difficult when I can barely breathe. I did attempt to involve the eldest offspring, and he decided jumping in the snowplies was far superior to shoveling.

Listen, I'm a millennial with adhd. Vine, gifs, tiktoks play in my head on a loop. This morning one of my kids was diagnosed with bronchitis (which I suspected I also have). Non-stop since that moment, Sweet Brown is playing in my head. "I got bronchitis, ain't nobody got time for that".

If anyone is curious about how today is going, it's 1pm, and I've forgotten my adhd meds, I'm now at the point that if I take them, I probably won't sleep. If I don't take them, I probably won't accomplish much. 😅😅 I'm already running on fumes. Maybe I should just nap.

I'm in zone 6a. What seeds did I start today? Lemongrass, basil, lettuce, spinach, dill, microgreens and cilantro. While it's still to early to grow these outside, they will do just fine indoors. Feeding the family for less & selling my extras at our farmstand. Peep the onion starts from last week.
