Went to an amazing plantbased Italian masterclass on Saturday with the fab charity Made in Hackney.
We learned how to make arancini, buckwheat pasta, meatless meatballs and chocolate salami and it was all delicious 😍

I ordered a mimosa at brunch to celebrate and a waiter came over to say they had no orange juice left so was it okay to just squeeze a tiny bit of real orange in as that’s all they had 🤣

Another #DryJan discovery! I love a Jubel peach beer so was happy to come across this alcohol free peachy pale ale from M&S.
It says low alcohol but 0.5% is classified as alcohol free as it is same as an overripe banana.
Verdict: it’s really nice! 🍑

On the train back down to London and my #DryJan bev of choice is this rather fancy Sarsaparilla! Fittingly it’s made by Mawson’s, which was founded as a herbalist and temperance bar in Oldham 💛

When I lived in a village in Nicaragua there was no communal waste facilities, any rubbish you had you needed to either bury or burn. But that’s essentially true wherever you live - we’re just paying someone to do that for us.
