It’s definitely starting over fresh, but I think a lot of this is to get a more emotionally resonant conclusion to the characters and portrayals that so many grew up with and in a lot of ways set the stage for the MCU. Ideally its closure

The only thing I can think of is that they are actually important to the plot, if not the main/secondary focus of the movie to the point they’d be impossible to hide. I gotta imagine that Avengers vs Xmen might be the centerpiece of the entire movie and Doom’s plan.

CNBC doesn’t exist to “educate the masses”. No corporate media outlet does. They exist to generate revenue and give fence sitting centrists a platform to show them patting themselves on the back. And to give you fence sitting centrists a sense of relief

Resistance isn’t formed by corporate media curated talking points. I hate to have to be the bearer of bad news, but liberal leaning corporate outlets literally exist to placate you and make you believe that politicians lightly complaining about stuff on a tv show is them actually doing bare minimum

Because going on CNBC isn’t actually a form of resistance and outlets are designed to make you complacent and feel comfortable with the status quo. All that is accomplished by these people reciting lukewarm talking points is making news-brained neo liberals feel comforted.
