Some of Seinfeld's other projects fell pretty flat as well. Unsurprisingly, he has felt most in his element when he was guest starring on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Which was essentially just him and Larry David riffing off each other.

Might be too obvious, but can’t help but compare them to the output of Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld in the years that followed them working together on Seinfeld.

My personal favourite is the Kevin Costner sports movie. Followed by period movies where Kevin Costner wears a crew cut.

It's terrific. One of those films that, if it comes on TV on a given night, you feel you have to put everything off so you can sit down and watch it.

I’d really question if they even count as films or cinema, quite frankly.

I always felt that about Scream especially. Also odd that a lot of those Scary Movie/Epic Movie style films have gags about comedies and not just serious films. One of them even had jokes about Austin Powers, which is obviously a major send up in itself!
