If somehow this account gets more traction than my main, I may consider moving all art posts here, period. But that seems pretty unlikely at the current rate. Not going to rule it out, though.

I occasionally post old art and WIPs here.
A more character-design focused example: a recent revision of a design I originally made in 2002 (sketch) - 2004 (color) A huge Risk of Rain piece I did for free for a free 'zine. I don't think I'm going to do something like this for free for someone else's project again, though; I was hoping it'd give me some modicum of traction, but it ended up being a dud for outreach. Once again, obviously, this huge Vampire Survivors piece that I can't stop plugging because damn it I worked hard on it (for my present amount of time and energy and spoons). An example of a MUCH older but otherwise way more involved piece, as I had more patience and drive in the past to make more involved artwork. Elphelt and Leo from Guilty Gear Xrd, playing out a scene from Sign's story that was never shown.

The in-game text also meanders, in a Z shape, down the entire page, starting from the red upper left corner, and ending in the dark lower right. She's not so bad. She's weird, creepy, and lonely, She's kinda like you.

Boiler Beast from the game Look Outside; a mess of pipes growing out of twisted human flesh, with hands and eyes looking out from the pipes. Done in a cheap sketchbook, using a Namiki Vanishing Point Fou//ntain Pen and Tombow markers.

Psalm in entangled form. Two Tumblr Asks in rapid succession that made me want to draw reactions using the LO-version of my 'sona, Psalm, which means I now have four little 'reactions' of her in varying states of... usually sad, but that's mostly because I'm a wreck, myself, ha.
This one was actually a happy-cry for getting two 'gifts' in a row at one point, since it's rare I get gifts at all. I was feeling overwhelmed. Family Guy Death Pose Psalm, after having an RSD Incident involving people vagueblogging shit about how people draw certain characters that felt like they were targeting me (they weren't, but RSD is a bastard like that). Partly a thankful tear image, but also I wanted to do a more detailed pic of her without the facemask, since I think I'm gonna leave the facemask off her now. It doesn't serve the same purpose as it did over in the MM setting. A much simpler but more despondent image, in response to being 'accused' of being 'too hard on myself'. I can't help it if my brain sucks and hates me for having the audacity to try-!

Sam, from Look Outside, surrounded by the armed and toothed spine of... well, Spine, as a glowing red, overwhelming spectre. He's hunched over, clutching his head, eyes shadowed (though one 'glows' for emphasis). His missing arm has some glowing red veins; the comic is about her giving him a new arm, albeit one with... strange side-effects. Sam is very conflicted about Spine... he can't get her out of his head, and she terrifies him, but something about her offer to become something new is... frighteningly enticing. But is it worth the pain?

1.6 has finally been out a bit, so I can post this without guilt (I did it early on Tumblr with permission, Because)

Some of the dialogues are different, though, because I drew these when they were first added to the public beta, which was months ago, and they changed since then, haha.

Spine is hunched over Sam in bed, who is trying to sleep. She is highlighted in red, to indicate she is a 'phantom', and that Sam cannot actually see her, only feel her as she feels up his arms and face. In-game text reads: "You hear a raspy "Hello!" as more claws touch your face, neck, and arms. It feels like half a dozen invisible spiders are crawling over you. Spiders with sharp knives for legs. As... friendly as it is intended to be, it is difficult not to be viscerally unnerved by all of this." Spine running her claws through Sam's hair in bed. He's batting her away in the first image, with the in-game text: "Ow! Be Careful!" "She scratching gets noticeable more gently. Now it's just creepy instead of creepy and painful." She leans over again, scratching more lightly but with more hands. Sam seems a bit more comfortable with this, along with the in-game text: "This is very weird and uncomfortable, but still kind of sweet. Maybe having some weird ghoul haunt your apartment isn't so bad." (This line was removed and replaced). Spine is leaning on Sam's chest. He looks down at her with a faint, conflicted smile, and the in-game text: "After a few seconds, you feel tremors on your chest. Is she snoring? That's kinda cute." Spine sleeps curled up along the side of Sam's bet. He looks over his shoulder with a faint smile. In-game text reads: "Just as you fall asleep, you think you hear Spine's raspy voice say, "Good night". "...Good night, Spine."

Three Minutes

You flop down on the couch after the meal, taking a moment to rest. As you do, you feel a clammy hand on your shoulder. Then one on the other... A third caresses your face as a fourth rests on your chest. You get the feeling she’s trying to push you to lie down. You can almost hear her voice. It’s hard to make out. “Three minutes...” “...please?” Dialogue options are given: Stop this. Now or ...Fine. Just three. “Stop This. Now” You make a motion to push her away, though it does nothing. You think you hear a soft, disappointed whine as she slowly withdraws. Claws drift all the way down your arm, resting on your hand, hesitating to let go as long as she can before she retreats far enough that you no longer feel her presence. Should you be feeling bad? ...Nah. It’s too weird. “...Fine. Just three.” You sigh and kick your legs up to lie down, neck on the armrest for support. Almost immediately, you feel a strong pressure as she climbs on top of you. Your body seizes up involuntarily as you feel her damp flesh against yours, skinless arms wrapped around you, pinning you in place. You feel her sigh contentedly, feeling the nuzzle of teeth against your cheek. Thankfully, she does nothing more. You stare at the ceiling, counting the ticking of the clock. Three minutes... That’s over an hour for her, right? True to her word, in three minutes, she releases you, crawling off the couch and vanishing into the apartment. ...She must be really lonely.

Honestly not very horror-themed. Very Mega Man coded, really, especially alongside the Tuques (fuzzy Mets). Clyde. You can't improve perfection, but I did add some more arms.

Sam, surrounded and embraced by his main three 'admirers'. His eyes are closed as he gives a kiss to Lyle's main lens, as-per the usual interaction, though his reflection is full of terrified warped/smudged eyes and teeth, like the associated Game Over. Likewise, Shadow and Spine are also hinting at their own Game Over states, with Shadow plunging its limbs into Sam's face and side like dough, and Spine digging her claws into Sam's back.

Sam and co are on the couch, playing Madwheels. Dan is taking up most of one side, lying down and propped on the armrest. Sam is sitting in the middle, hunched over, controller in one hand, looking down annoyedly at Leigh, who's sitting on the ground, grinning up at him. Joel is behind her, legs pulled up right, scared to kick her on accident Sam: Can you stop that, Leigh? Leigh: Heh heh... stop what? Sam: Targeting only me. It makes this so much less fun. Dan: HAH, you being a baby, Sam? Get good! Leigh: Heh heh! Yeah! Sam: Shut UP, Dan, you're not helping the-heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekk??!?! Sam is interrupted by something causing him to spaz out, tears in his eyes, mouth twisted into a forced grin. There's nothing there that should be causing this reaction. Dan: the hell?? Leigh: ...what? Sam flails, gripping his sides, squirming in place as he waves frantically over the back of the seat at nothing, eyes filling with more tears Sam: Hhhhaaa hahAHHHAAHHAHAAHHA s-sSToPP thAT-!! KN-KNOCK IT OFFFFF-!!!!! Joel: You okay... hhhh... Mr. Sam? Sam curls up on the sofa, one hand deathgripping the back of the couch as the other grips his chest, like he's having a heart attack. The others are looking at him, concerned. Sam: I'm fine! I'm FINE, there's nOTHING wrong-!!! Joel: Hhhh... okay... doesn't sound...hhh... like nothing... Leigh: Roaches probably crawled up his shirt. His fault for feeding them. Idiot. Dan: We're all thinking it, buddy, but you need help.
