Therefore it has not been a substance or rather material from the Elements, but a spiritual and divine and immaterial substance: that is, he has come to the body from elsewhere; but it has not been born from or raised up from the body.

Therefore since Christ is the aim of all the scriptures, in what manner is someone able to understand the scriptures, who does not know Christ for the aim of both Testaments?

Certainly the soul of Christ, having been separated from the body, has not done these offices of life, which without the body are not able to be done. However after being returned to the body, has it not done all these things again?
