But otherwise I wouldn't have actually learned anything? You can't "only good vibes" your way into learning a language properly. Eventually you have to be told "this is wrong, this is how you need to do it". Especially since being corrected in a school is much less embarrassing than elsewhere.

Throwing up your hands and saying "We don't want to offend anyone, let's not correct anything ever," makes going to that class a little... pointless? And I say this as someone with rejection sensitive dysphoria so I HATEEE being corrected. I hate even accidentally making a mistake someone notices.

As someone who went to a "second language school" (for Dutch), they didn't always instantly correct us on grammar and pronunciation unless we kept doing it wrong. I think it's just so no one gets embarrassed? But if you don't correct someone they'll never know. You need to find a good balance.
