On February 9, 2024, Daily Kos Management informed the Daily Kos Guild of their plans to lay off nearly 40% of DKG’s represented members. Statement below:

A cease and desist was issued to @dailykos in response to a change in terms revealed 48 hours before our negotiations deadline, and for underreporting the Guild’s cost-savings achieved through voluntary buyouts. Here is a snapshot of our negotiations. We came very close to our initial proposed terms, and are relieved that our exiting employees will have better financial and medical support while seeking new employment. Collective bargaining is a right we want for ALL workers. ✊
