This would enhance any 'Raise Dead' spells.

#30 Fantastic picture of a Mind Flayer by Kevin Bulmer, in this issue's Treasure Chest column.
The column listed readers' spells for AD&D, none of which had anything to do with mind flayers, but with a picture this good, why wouldn't you use it?

#80 Ancient & Modern, Graham Staplehurst's time-travelling AD&D / Call of Cthulhu mash-up, inspired by the Hyborean stories of Brian Lumley.
What's not to love?

Finished writing my scenario for #OBaWS. 🙂
Just have to write some handouts.
And all the pre-gens.
And get some maps and tokens.
So, nowhere near finished, really. 😬

Binned my Specials RPG, and the introductory Maggie's Farm scenario. Doesn't look like I'll be joining the international jet set, after all.

#54 If only the Patron was always as easy to spot, as in Mark Harrison's strip The Travellers.

Yes, the Monstermark was in the first "Best of" articles collection. Having it all in one place didn't make it any more understandable, though. 😆

#88 ♫ It's raining umpty
Hallelujah, it's raining umpty ♬

Illustration by the late, great Brett Ewins for the Judge Dredd scenario, A Night in the Death of Sector 255 (by Hugh Tynan).

I don't know if you're aware of this advert for D&D figures from Citadel, illustration by John Blanche (as featured in White Dwarf #67, July 1985). Whilst it's not a direct homage, the single fighter & magic user taking on a dragon, does at least bring to mind Holmes Basic, I think.

Sourcing images for my #OBaWS scenario.
Fingers crossed I still get to go. 🤞

That story was a big inspiration for Better Living Through Chemistry (you'll be unsurprised to learn).

Here on the shores of Lake Hali, chartered accountant Julian Danforth and wife Sasha are restoring an ancient pile. Construction work has been slowed owing to disagreements with Carcosa's premier building firm, Hastur Inc. Can they finish their dream project before the twin suns sink into the lake?

Some out-and-out classics in that collection. Worth it for the Aggrodome alone. 😁

Titan hooked me from the very start, after they'd hit me with the ol' Bolland / McMahon one-two.
