Even without Doubling Season, just Ozolith ensures a continually growing number of lives, right? Kitty dies, moves 8 counters to the Ozolith, returns with 7 counters, gets the 8 back at the start of combat for 15 total, etc.
(And of course just DS makes it unkillable too.)
