Yeah that's kind of my point. Don't take the bait. If they don't care about learning then the prof doesn't need to care about teaching them. Give them no ammo, keep your job, focus your attention on the kids that care.

Not saying it's good, but at this point isn't it better just to give these grasping malcontents an A and focus on teaching the kids who want to learn? Make it a full on cheat code like the my-roommate-died urban legend to just write JESUS on your paper and you don't have to show up to class anymore.

I don't know, for a while millions of people were going to 3D movies to the point where it was somewhat difficult to find a 2D screening and then the novelty wore off and most of the demand evaporated.

I will disagree that gambling is right-coded simply because - contrary to the obsessions of those who frequent this and other web sites - not everything has a political valence in the real world. Table talk re: politics generally doesn't rise above "Can you believe these clowns in Congress?" level.

IIRC, a big part of the bridge from 2->3 was the sudden explosion of the phrase "woke bae" as something desirable to have/be regardless of race to the point that Tony Kornheiser and Chris Cillizza were trying to figure out what it meant on a podcast.
