page 7. panel 1: little mind-law turns in the chest, looking at the base where water is suddenly pouring in. panel 2: he tries to back up in terror. panel 3: overlapping the previous panel, he reaches out a desperate hand as the water surrounds him. page 8. panel 1: mind-law opens his eyes hazily. he is lying on a furry body, and a clawed paw is curled over him protectively. panel 2: splashing through the water, bepo holds law close as he softly cries, "captain!" panel 3: still a child, mind-law clings back to bepo, but his squinted eyes and the encroaching shadow in the panel show he's losing consciousness. bepo is still softly saying, "captain, hold on!" page 9. panel 1: suddenly, devil-fruit-law's grinning, up close face fills the top half of the page. this is somewhat of a jumpscare from mind-law's point of view. devil-fruit-law holds up a bloody finger and says, "don't look so scared." panel 2: mind-law's eyes are still slipping closed. he's starting to tip over. panel 3: only the round top of his childhood hat is visible as mind-law falls unconscious into the shadows. devil-fruit-law assures him, "you're only dreaming."
