Just today I read "The Guest Law" in an sf collection, was blown away and wanted to read more from the author (Wright), googled him and found he was closely involved with sad puppies at the nebula awards and got depressed with whiplash. Would def read your thoughts on his writing

Oh man this really bummed me out. Your computer chronicles watch-alongs introduced me to him and the show, and I really enjoy his presentation style. Always a fun nostalgic trip. May he rest in peace.

Never heard of this but the visuals look incredible. I just can't get enough of that like, early 3d model aesthetic. My wishlist of games to play is basically just every new blog post of yours

I don’t know why I’ve been resisting, trying Despelote. Your praise for outer wilds pushed me to finally play that and it’s my favorite game ever now. So this post is telling me to just play this too even if the premise doesn’t seem to speak to me

The team is unambiguously worse off, and feels like they have no actual plan to get better. I don't understand what Stearns is trying to build. What does it say to fans that they're just punting on the year? Is it just, put all our hope in our farm system?

Is the Yakuza 0 - 6 bundle physical discs or digital codes? Can't seem to find that info on the page

No one does it like David Roth

I was the first group until my friend convinced me to buy the $30 starter pack thing and I played with him for a weekend. There's definitely _a_ game there, and the tech is impressive (when it works) but it's nowhere close to what was promised. That being said, I had fun for a weekend.

Definitely agree it feels worse than PSP. Not sure which model Vita you have but I first bought a 2000 model and then sold it and bought a 1000 model, and much prefer the metallic/heaviness of the first model. The 2000 model feels cheap and light IMO

Feels awful in a tactile way or like games/ui experience? I kind of agree, but still find the Vita more enjoyable to use than a Steam Deck just because of the size. I really wish there were smaller portable options in general. Both games and phones. But everything trends to bigger screen sizes.

This sounds right up my alley, thanks for sharing/recommending

Holy shit I'm so sorry. First I'm hearing about this. I was so looking forward to your open house on the 21st. I'm hoping the publicity helps track down the stolen items. Please let us know if the community can help in other ways.

This is gross and bad, and also whenever I hear about an effort like this or something, I vaguely remember a quote from a physicist or writer who was propositioned this, and their response was "shouldn't you be asking my parents that?"

Immensely relatable, nice to see it's probably a universal feeling across all fields

A totally reasonable compromise but after getting back into CRTs I'm so original-hardware-pilled that I think I need to explore importing one somehow. I probably could do without the H but I'd also rather play the game as it was originally intended.

You're the first I've heard mention it and it's got me looking up how to get a PC-98

This is such a succinct way to put such a complex feeling I've been having. Thank you

Incredibly moving. Thank you for sharing and I hope you find your peace some day.

It's akin to moving from a writing to an editing role, which is a different skillset with a different stamina level and varying degrees of skill. I hate reviewing code but I'm good at it, because I'm meticulous. Suddenly you make my job entirely that and I'm miserable.
