Happy #caturday!

Here's our void Mochi. She's a zoomy gremlin and utter cuddlebug. We'd hold her upside down in our arms as a kitten to train her for nail trims and now she insists on being carried that way.

A WIP for #caturday. Looks like I got photobombed by my spouse.

Threw and sculpted this fellow in one studio session, which is a new record for me. My proof of concept mug cracked on the inside, so it's not food safe.

Fingers crossed I can sip tea from this one.

Ryukin vase update!

The goofy little guy got a few finny additions on Friday. The hardest part? Not giggling every time I made eye contact with that face. (I'd scream too if my butt wasn't attached.)

I forgot to post this goofy guy!

It's a Ryukin (fancy goldfish) vase, though still very WIP. With two cats in the house I needed a squat, bottom-heavy vase for flowers and I decided to add some sculptural whimsy. Fins and more to be added Friday.

My current WIP at pottery. Bothe are bisque fired, and the cat is getting a nice coat of smoke glaze. The rainbow's just underglaze and going back in the kiln; it will have a date with black glaze later.
