Exactly. I wrote a fic set in the aftermath of S6 where J and C are concerned about letting Mrs Bug back in the house post “Claire almost got hanged for murder and our housekeeper got weird” and when they send them away to make sure their food isn’t poisoned Jamie makes all the meals. 🤷🏻♀️😂

Oh, it does sort of come up in book 2. (Why do I remember this and not my child’s social security number?). When they’re talking about how to cook potatoes and J says something like “I’ve never gotten the impression you’re into cooking”’and C says “I’m not but I can boil a potato.”

Jamie does say it in Book 6 (when C wants a catalogue of her virtues) but I love that Sam worked it in earlier. 😂 And honestly everyone can be forgiven for trying to forget Book 6 exists. I’m sufficiently middle aged I read that one when it came out and it’s a Ball of Yikes even by DG standards. 🤦🏻♀️

As far as I can tell fandom ran with “obviously Firouz just posed as a manservant so he could live with Lamb and Lamb is queer as hell” and I think that’s beautiful. (Am I working this into my current WIP also? I sure am!). Fanon is a great thing. 😍

I’m putting my marker down that since DG wrote Pharos and it means lighthouse/originally refers to the Lighthouse of Alexandria that we finally get the “J” and “C” scars or Jamie saying “Sorcha” in that episode.
