Fair enough. I went there in the early 00s so cell phones were fairly new and flip phones. Guessing smart phones may have made for a rule change. I'm feeling very old lol

Marked up where that water is on the campus overview. They could've moved at the watch but I can tell you from personal experience that most people ignore watches of almost any variety.

The dining hall is on the same side of the river as the littles cabins. There's an offshoot stream of the Guad that is by the rec center. You have to cross a bridge to get to the senior hill. We took fishing lessons on either side of the bridge.

When I was there, we handed our cell phones to our counselors and we could use them in emergencies. They stored them underneath their beds. Like when a girl in our cabins grandmom died, they gave it to her to call her family. The counselor was texted about it from the office.

There are televisions in the staff areas and the library. But again all the adults had cell phones when I was there. I don't know if that changed since I went but the restrictions were on the students.

I also don't know what the flooding contingencies were since I wasn't a counselor (my sister was). I'm guessing there were some giving the frequency. But obviously not enough.

The senior cabins (if my memory is correct - I went there in the early 00s) are basically on a big hill that overlooks the river. The littles are much farther away but lower elevation.

My guess is it was because they'd have to cross the river to get to the senior cabins. There are also less of them. This all happened in the middle of the night so I'm not certain if they knew before the river had flooded the bridge.

Look apparently I'm the only person in these comments that went to Camp Mystic - Students didn't have cell phones but every adult on campus does, including the counselors. Flood warnings are common. It's like people ignoring tornadoes. Its fucking awful but we don't need to come up with stuff.

In your DNS panel, you create a TXT record with the host set to '_atproto.ha.nk.cm' and the value set to what you just copied. You can use any TTL but lower values propagate quicker generally. Wait a few then go back to the same 'I have a domain' page on bsky and 'Verify DNS Record'. (2/2)

Depends on where you got the domain from, but if you have access to the DNS panel, first you go to bsky.app/settings/acc... and click on 'Handle' then 'I have my own domain'. Put 'ha.nk.cm' next to the '@'. Copy the text under 'value' (starts with did=). (1/2)
