Agreed! I tend to either keep only the ink I'm drawing with in them and switch it out frequently or put in a lighter color ink that would actually benefit a bit from evaporating!

Yes! I use EF or F nibs for drawing for the details. The only downside to the kakuno is that it's really no frill so it doesn't have anything to prevent the ink drying out. I normally just keep enough ink in it for whatever artwork I'm working on at that time, and clean/refill often
