I read "Men Who Stare at Goats" when it came out and thought it was charming/funny. But since my conversion on UFO/paranormal topics I see it is as unintentional misinformation. Ronson is a pleasant guy, kinda like David Sedaris. Hard to see him actively employed by Mockingbird or whatever.

Boycotts are easier than strikes. One thing I'm certain about is that we're never going to vote ourselves out of this situation. But where I live, in small town USA, people aren't ready for it. Urban places, maybe.

I think it will take some time and suffering before middle America can achieve that kind of solidarity. Right now people are shocked, their heads are spinning but they aren't hurting yet, although all signs point to that happening. The betrayals haven't caused enough economic pain. Hate to say..

i'm in the same situation. It's six hours to DC from my rural county. Although we're adjacent to a major state university and I work next to it, the kids I meet don't seem very interested in politics.

I followed Klaus over here- and I'm comfortable. I never used X much, it's a toxic environment. I long for a platform where we can get reliable UFO news and talk politely about it. I think Elon is moron but the people who think making their ugly noise on X is some kind activism, also morons.

Agreed. He was completely dismissive on the subject in the past, the only concept he would agree to was "we may have been visited by NHI sometime". Now he sees that there is a pervasive phenomenon at scale, which he would have laughed at me for saying 3-4 yrs ago.

I've argued with him a bit about the secrecy thing - i think his view is colored by the fact he worked on the same floor as Daniel Ellsberg as he released the Pentagon Papers, and he alway says "Where's the Ellsberg of UFOs?" I show him Greer's 2001 Nat'l Press Club event and he's not impressed.

I got him to read Richard Dolan's "UFOs and the Nat'l Security State", which I thought might get thru to him with it's academic quality. He said he liked the stories but thought it was ludicrous that such things as retrievals, bodies, interactions with NHI could be kept secret.

I know, he was at RAND and SAIC '70-'90 but I don't think he worked on any high strangeness. Vietnam policy, then the SALT Treaties, and otherwise conventional war stuff. He used to dismiss my UFO pronouncements as total BS, now his position is that it's real but still a mystery to the MIC.

My dad, a former RAND guy, sent me this article because he knows of my UFO interest. I asked him "Why write it? I thought DJT's people said the FAA explained it all away". He said the punchline is that the FBI is so desperate, they're looking for support from the UFO community.
